About the CofresiArts Goddess Works
CofresiArts is owned and operated by Paula Cofresi Silverstein, ACSW, LCSW, BCD Psychotherapist, Educator, Artist.
I have been working with clay since majoring in Art during my college years where I first encountered early works of the goddess by artists of ancient times. However, it wasn’t until I attended a workshop with Dr. Jean Huston (renowned transformational psychologist, philosopher and founder of “The Mystery School”) that I was deeply moved to begin creating ceramic sculptures of the Great Mother. Since then I have immersed myself in creating unique Goddesses reflecting both historical and contemporary themes.
Goddesses from my goddess series can be found on the grounds of the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris and the retreat city of the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala, India, on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt, Fuji in Japan, in the ancient caves of Crete and Mycenae, at the top of both Haleakala Volcano on Maui and Machu Pichu in Peru, the old Imperial city of Rome, Moscow, San Juan, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, Albuquerque, New York and other cities in the US.
These works of art can be used in ‘women’s work’ as tools for deepening our identification with the Sacred feminine and reawakening our energetic connection to our heart center. My creations are uniquely designed and glazed in a variety of colors resulting in pleasing visual objects for display in house and garden.
